About Us
Rooted in West Texas. Focused on your lawn.
Flatland Lawn Solutions is a locally owned lawn treatment company serving Lubbock and the surrounding West Texas communities. We specialize in professional weed control, pre-emergent and post-emergent applications, fertilization, grub treatments, and targeted spot spraying—all with one goal in mind: helping you grow a healthier lawn you’re proud to come home to.
We aren't a national franchise, and we don't believe lawn care should feel like one. We're West Texas locals serving West Texas locals, combining professional lawn treatment experience with dependable, personal service.

Owners & Operators
MEET Jackson & Annie ABNEY
Flatland Lawn Solutions is more than a lawn care company—it’s a family business built on relationships, hard work, and a genuine love for the place we call home.
Jackson Abney is the owner and operator of Flatland Lawn Solutions.
Jackson began working with Malcom Services in 2022, where he gained hands-on experience as a professional lawn applicator and technician. He quickly became the company's lead applicator and technician, spending his days working directly on lawns throughout the Lubbock area and getting to know many of the customers and properties he would eventually continue serving.
In September 2026, Jackson purchased Malcom Services and began a new chapter for the company.
Flatland Lawn Solutions was born.
The new name represents more than a change in ownership. It represents a renewed focus on specialized lawn treatments, exceptional service, and building a company designed specifically for the lawns and people of West Texas.
Alongside Jackson is his wife, Annie Abney, who helps shape the Flatland brand through marketing, media, and customer experience. A Texas Tech graduate with a degree in Advertising, Annie brings the visual and creative side of Flatland to life.
Together, Jackson and Annie are building Flatland around something simple: do excellent work, treat people well, and build a company West Texas homeowners can trust.
SAME EXPERIENCE. FRESH START. NEW NAME.
Flatland Lawn Solutions may be a new name, but our experience didn't begin in 2026.
Our roots come from Malcom Services and the customers, lawns, and relationships Jackson worked with before taking ownership. That history gives Flatland something we value deeply: continuity.
For former Malcom Services customers, you'll still see a familiar face caring for your lawn—now backed by a new company and a renewed commitment to doing things even better.
That connection is worth making prominent on the site because Malcom Services already has an online history in Lubbock associated with lawn care, chemical applications, pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides, and weed removal.
